Chapter 731 - 642: Doomsday Date (Part 4)
Chapter 731 - 642: Doomsday Date (Part 4)
Inside the Insect Nest, the patrol bugs all turned their gazes; anyone who saw a longhorn beetle with a mantis corpse swinging from its back would be curious.
Truly puzzling.
Arriving at the hatching pool and confirming there were no patrol bugs around, Chichu Chun sliced open the back of the longhorn beetle and emerged with his upper body.
"It’s so hot in here, even hotter than inside a doll costume."
Chichu Chun lamented, shaking his long hair and scratching his ribs as he surveyed the surroundings.
"I really want to take a bath."
Xu Xiaoyou followed suit, sitting up and looking at the sticky bloodstains covering her, spreading her hands in exasperation.
"What do you plan to do next?"
"I’ve changed my mind." Chichu Chun said, "Sneaking in is boring, and breaking through is too dull."
Xu Xiaoyou raised an eyebrow. She always thought her thought process was unique, yet she still struggled to keep up with his idea.
"I’ve decided to both sneak in and break through!" Chichu Chun declared.
"Give that Insect Queen a huge surprise."
Chichu Chun looked at the hatch pool in the center of the nest room. Inside, countless biological tissues rolled like a pot of boiling nutritious soup, bubbling, and the crimson liquid flowed within.
The appendages above would descend from time to time, fishing out egg-like embryos from the hatching pool and embedding them in the wall niches nearby. Looking around, the meaty walls were embedded with thousands of such embryos, each with larvae swimming inside.
Just a glance would be enough to stop the heart of anyone with trypophobia.
"I’ll handle the infiltration while you handle the assault, how about it?"
Xu Xiaoyou fell into contemplation.
After a moment, she nodded thoughtfully.
She roughly guessed what the other wanted to do.
Xu Xiaoyou’s prankster radar went off.
Such dark humor.
Just a little indulgence for herself and the other.
"Alright, no problem."
"Before we officially start the action," Chichu Chun stood at the edge of the hatching pool, "let me take a bath first."
With that, she leaped into the boiling hatching pool and soon disappeared deep within, vanishing without a trace.
Xu Xiaoyou turned back as a few patrol bugs just arrived, discovering her, the uninvited intruder.
An ear-piercing alarm sound instantly blared over the Insect Nest. Countless Insect Race guards received orders, heading toward the hatching pool.
Facing the Insect Race army surrounding her, Xu Xiaoyou found herself in a dilemma.
How should she create some chaos?
Let’s just use two ordinary skill cards.
[Vicious Squadron] and [Military Crown] appeared in Xu Xiaoyou’s hands.
...
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Violent explosions reverberated inside the Insect Nest, reaching the ears of the Insect Queen.
The Insect Queen Olga sat on the throne, her eyes on her mandibles filled with shock, shrieking in disbelief.
Pale light illuminated half of the Insect Queen’s form, half submerged in shadow. The parts exposed to light were colossal. Her upper body stood atop her massive abdomen, which wriggled like a giant hill on the throne. Her lower body occupied most of the chamber while several Forbidden Guards beside her were so small they looked like specks of dust.
An enemy had infiltrated her Insect Nest!
The target was powerful. Even across hundreds of nest rooms, she could feel the suffocating danger, like a raging tide surging toward her.
How could this be? How could such a powerful being appear in her small nest?
No time to think further, Olga dispatched all her Forbidden Guards.
Now was the crucial period for reproduction. She combined countless superior genes and was about to give birth to the most perfect offspring. She could not tolerate any accidents.
She was willing to name the offspring soon to be born as the Plunder King!
Forget about this little No. 075 city; as long as her child could be born smoothly, she believed her Insect Race army’s iron hooves could trample all human cities, reaching the top of the food chain!
The humans who once relentlessly tried to hunt her, she would personally kill them all.
Recalling the humiliating past, the fear of being dominated by someone codenamed "Red Demon," Olga’s massive eyes welled up with tears. The memories of kneeling to that deranged individual still vivid, who even tried to coerce her...
It’s the most critical time, no errors allowed!
——"Be born, my child, cleanse my shame with the enemy’s blood!"
——"Blood sacrifice to the Insect God, offer the skull to the throne!"
——"Kill all the invaders!"
The sharp roar echoed in the chamber, the ethereal voice indistinguishable between male and female, reverberating until the nest room quaked and the throne cracked!
Meanwhile, on the other side.
The sound of explosions was deafening, a hundred cannons fired in unison, blasting bright red rose blooms. From left to right, all Insect Races caught by the artillery’s reach perished.
Xu Xiaoyou walked amidst the artillery fire, explosions erupting at her side. The flames produced engulfed her momentarily, but moments later, she emerged unscathed, a [Candle Dragon Storm] gathering in her palm.
Looking at the nearly trembling Insect Races around, Xu Xiaoyou thought for a moment, swapping the [Candle Dragon Storm] for [Fireball Bombardment].
With a casual wave of her hand, flames whirled into a storm, and vast waves of fire swept outwards!
The affected Insect Races didn’t even have time to wail before turning to ash.
The explosive power instantly destroyed nearly a quarter of the Insect Nest’s structure.
"For Her Majesty the Queen!"
The lieutenant shouted fanatically, stepping on a Forbidden Guard’s face and blasting a bug’s brain with a shot.
The army’s advance was unhindered. The Insect Race couldn’t form an effective resistance; their defense line did not stand a chance against the Vicious Squadron.
All Insect Races attempting to block were eradicated. If not for Xu Xiaoyou ordering a slow advance, the army would probably have reached the Insect Queen’s chamber by now.
Feeling the intensifying crisis, the increasingly anxious Insect Queen shrieked again, gathering all her strength into her abdomen, causing her crystal-clear insect belly to light up, twitching faster visibly.
All her Forbidden Guards were killed!
They were her elite force. Today’s losses might take months to recover.
The flames of hatred blinded the Insect Queen’s eyes; her only thought now was to give birth to the Plunder Ant King in her abdomen and use the invader’s blood to honor her deceased brood!
The Insect Queen’s eyes grew brighter, her insect abdomen’s cocooning speed reaching maximum. She could clearly feel the burgeoning life force surging from her abdomen, with new life about to burst forth!
Wait, burst forth?
An expression of terror flashed across the Insect Queen’s face as a sense of foreboding exploded in her mind.
The intense pain made her arch back, hands gripping the throne tightly.
"My child, it’s not time yet, you can’t... ugh!"
A few seconds later, her abdomen exploded, and a figure crawled out of it.
The Insect Queen was near fainting but felt solace and hope.
Thankfully, she held on till the last moment. The fully developed Plunder King Ant would be invincible.
Finally, she could wash away all the shame.
She looked closely, wanting to see the appearance of her offspring nurtured with countless genes and efforts, but her expression froze in astonishment.
"Hello there?"
A black annihilation cannon was pointed at her forehead, the red-haired girl’s smile growing more fervent through the bloodstains.
"Who are you, where is my child?" the Insect Queen cried out.
"You mean that?" Chichu Chun chewed on a piece of an insect leg, raising an eyebrow as if savoring the taste.
Moments later, Chichu Chun spat out the half-chewed insect leg.
"Not bad."
Destructive, blazing energy pierced down, and the Insect Queen’s colossal body exploded suddenly!
