Chapter 504 - 503: Do You Want to Drive Your Brother to His Death?
He felt emotions bottled up inside with no outlet.
Mrs. Sinclair was startled by his action, "Damian, what are you doing?!"
She immediately checked his hand and found his fist had struck the uneven tree trunk, already leaving several alarming bloodstains, and blood was flowing out.
Mrs. Sinclair was both frightened and saddened, while taking out a handkerchief to wipe the blood from his wound, she cried, "Damian, do you know you’re stabbing a knife into your mother’s heart, boo hoo hoo..."
Bea came over and was also shocked by the scene, "Brother, why do this?"
Yes, why do this? Problems still need to be solved.
Damian Sinclair withdrew his hand, expressionless, and said, "Let’s go back." With that, he headed towards the venue of the banquet.
"Damian!" Mrs. Sinclair called out to him, but he didn’t stop.
"Mom, I’m sorry." Bea felt awful seeing Mrs. Sinclair like this, it seemed she had good intentions that went wrong.
Mrs. Sinclair wiped her tears and looked at her sideways, "Did you bring Bella Acker here?"
"I just saw how upset my brother was every day, so I thought I’d let him see Bella Acker. Maybe... maybe brother could come out of the dead-end." Bea said, "Mom, you saw how my brother is; he can’t possibly let go of Bella Acker. Can’t you just make it happen for him?"
"Do you think a mother doesn’t want to see Damian happy?" Mrs. Sinclair wiped her tears again, "If I let Bella Acker become the daughter-in-law of The Sinclair Family, what about your eldest brother? Are we just to forget about him? He was so young when he died like that. Do you know how I felt holding your brother’s body? At that time, I just wished it was me who died."
"Mom, I know you loved the eldest brother, but it’s been twenty years. Bella Acker was just a newborn baby back then; she didn’t understand anything or know anything. Is it fair to place the hatred we have for her father onto her?" Bea’s eyes were also red. She really considered Bella Acker a friend and felt for her brother and mother.
All she could do was help however little she could. She really didn’t want to see her family suffer anymore.
Mrs. Sinclair fell silent. She knew well that transferring such hatred to Bella Acker was extremely unfair to her. But as long as she thought of her eldest son’s death, the hatred in her heart couldn’t be erased. She couldn’t forgive Ronan Rhodes, nor could she accept his daughter with his blood running in her veins.
Every time she saw Bella Acker, it was as if she saw Ronan Rhodes.
Bea continued, "Mom, eldest brother has been dead for twenty years. Do you really want to force our brother to die too?"
"How could that be!" Mrs. Sinclair looked up in horror; she couldn’t possibly force her most beloved son to die.
"Haven’t you seen that? Forcing brother to let go of Bella Acker is no different than forcing him to die." Bea said with reddened eyes, "Brother has always been steady and self-disciplined since he was a child. When have you ever seen him drink like that? He’s such an outstanding person, but he’s like a soulless being, and it pains me to see him like that."
Mrs. Sinclair wiped her tears; seeing her son so despondent over love was equally like a knife cutting through her heart.
"Bella, Mom... boo hoo hoo..."
Bea reached out to hug Mrs. Sinclair, "Mom, how about giving brother a chance?"
