Chapter 1470 - 60: Dynasty 2
Then, he tentatively embraced Emhardt in his arms, once again reaching out to place his hand on the Gate, but this time, he did not push the door but pulled it.The Gate remained immensely heavy, making him doubt whether he was pulling a mountain rather than a door.
"Clack... clack... clack..."
But just as he was questioning reality, the Gate before his eyes miraculously began to tremble uncontrollably, being slowly pulled by Fisher out of the Trace left from dragging on the ground.
The Gate slowly opened, revealing before Fisher an infinitely deep space, as if leading to another fiery world.
The dense Death Authority’s aura was all too familiar to Fisher, like an invisible, untouchable black gauze carrying heat rushing toward him, enveloping him within.
His body uncontrollably retreated into the Gate, soon being swallowed by the darkness within and disappearing from sight.
Behind him, the Gate rumbled and closed straightforwardly, leaving only the hot air seeping from the door cracks lingering in the cave, hard to dissipate.
...
...
"Buzz buzz buzz!"
"Clamor clamour!"
"Whisper whisper..."
"Haru ru..."
"Fisher!! Ahhhhh!"
After entering the darkness of the Gate, the deep space inside became completely vertical, no longer allowing one to walk, as Fisher and Emhardt continued to fall downward.
Below, a dense smell of saltpetre and invisible heat waves kept surging up, accompanied by sounds resembling small animal cries reaching Fisher’s ears.
Beside him, Emhardt’s words finally returned to normal from being reversed, but the previous discomfort left him momentarily unresponsive, spinning like a top mid-air, screaming as he fell downward.
In Fisher’s peripheral view, amidst the accelerating fall, the darkness and depth before him were slowly breached by light, spreading from the dark centre, revealing below an exceedingly vast space filled with boiling magma and small creatures with long tails, resembling monkeys, looking upward.
"Chirp chirp!"
Those strange creatures, dwarf-like yet slender as monkeys, stood on black reefs within the Sea of Magma, staring at the falling person and book in wide-eyed curiosity. But upon sensing the terrifying aura of Fisher’s Mythical Rank, they scattered in fear, struggling and swimming away from where Fisher might land.
"Boom!"
With a thunderous noise, this Demon Dynasty, where only the chatter of Little Demons and the boiling of magma had resounded for millennia, finally welcomed a guest never seen before.
In the black, saltpetre-scented dust, Fisher, holding the dazed Emhardt with one hand, surveyed the surrounding environment.
"This is... the Demon Dynasty?"
What he saw were vast cave structures, seemingly spanning the distance between Sky and earth, where magma’s glow was reflected from the ground everywhere, displaying rippling traces on the black stone walls. But upon closer inspection, these weren’t formed like water but because innumerable eerie ∞ symbols floated above the magma, like an invisible cage binding the magma in place.
And on the endless Sea of Magma, numerous wide or scattered or linked black reefs formed isolated islands and archipelagoes. Under the scorching and dim environment, Fisher discerned many grand, obscure architectural remnants and traces of civilizations.
These structures were either built against the mountain, inverted on stone walls, or standing solitarily on the isolated reefs, seemingly the dwelling places of some powerful beings.
And between the structures were many smaller buildings, from which many Little Demons of varying red, blue, and black skin cautiously peeked at Fisher from behind chains.
"Fisher... ugh... I really feel like vomiting..."
While Fisher was inspecting the environment, the Emhardt in his hand could no longer endure and helplessly rolled down, landing on the adjacent reef and starting to vomit golden characters from his mouth.
"Just now, when we entered the door, that was a space formed by Chaotic Power so your rules began to collapse, causing discomfort. It should be better now. We’ve already reached the Demon Dynasty."
"That’s not the reason... I previously... came to this place... It was here that I saw Paimon... Even though I can’t recall what happened then... I still... feel uncomfortable..."
"Helair..."
Indeed, being one of the Demon Gods, Helair should also have a palace here to reside; however, this area is behind the Competitive Gate while she resides behind the Seeking Knowledge Gate—just unsure how far apart the places are.
Is it possible her basing influencing the sealing of the Mother Goddess is inside her residence?
Fisher turned again to survey his surroundings, only to find behind those black reefs many concealed Little Demons not showing themselves, hiding instinctively like ostriches from his gaze.
Ignoring those Little Demons roughly of common Human Rank, he still felt a trace of confusion within.
