Chapter 1148 1,147: Land of Women
Rei Ao looked at Kozuki Hiyori, smiled, and said,
"Kozuki Hiyori, princess of Wano—don't be afraid. I won't hurt you."
"I'm only taking you with me because it'd be a waste for you to stay in Wano."
"Follow me, and you'll see a world far bigger than Wano."
Kozuki Hiyori bit her lip and stared at him. Her voice was still trembling, but she forced herself to speak up anyway:
"I-I'm not going to any other world! I want to go back to Wano! Let me go back right now!"
"Go back?"
Rei Ao shook his head, smiling like he didn't care in the slightest.
"People who end up in my hands don't get sent back."
"You!"
Kozuki Hiyori's face flushed red with anger, but there was nothing she could do.
She was just an ordinary woman—no combat ability at all.
Faced with a man this terrifyingly strong, she didn't even have the right to resist.
Beside them, Yamato watched the scene and couldn't help sighing. She walked over, patted Hiyori on the shoulder, and tried to comfort her:
"Alright, Hiyori. Don't be scared. He looks unreliable, but he won't just go around hurting people."
"Just… just think of it as coming out to sea with us for a little trip."
Hiyori looked at Yamato, and her eyes instantly reddened.
She knew Yamato—Kaido's daughter.
She just hadn't expected Yamato to be following this man.
Just as Hiyori was about to say something else, Rei Ao suddenly raised his hand.
"Alright. Enough talk. Everyone's here—time to go."
As soon as he finished speaking, before the three of them could even react, he snapped his fingers again.
A crisp pa rang out.
The next second, the space around them twisted violently again, and a powerful sensation of weightlessness crashed over them.
"Ah!"
Hiyori couldn't help but scream.
Black Maria instinctively clenched her fists, trying to steady herself, only to realize she couldn't control her body at all.
Only Yamato, helplessly rolling her eyes, shouted:
"Hey! Could you at least warn us first?!"
Before her words even fell, the four figures vanished from where they stood.
…
Amazon Lily—Kuja Palace.
The gorgeous palace sat atop a mountain. Pink gauze drapes hung down from the eaves, fluttering in the wind.
A pleasant dragon-amber scent filled the air.
Inside the main hall, Boa Hancock sat on her jewel-studded throne.
One hand propped up her chin, she looked thoroughly unhappy—her lips so pouty you could hang an oil bottle off them.
Her two younger sisters, Sandersonia and Marigold, stood beside the throne.
They watched her carefully, not daring to breathe too loudly.
"Hmph… Rei Ao-sama, honestly… He's been gone so long and still isn't back!"
Hancock spoke sulkily, her voice thick with longing.
Sandersonia hurried to comfort her:
"Sister, don't overthink it. Rei Ao-sama must have something to take care of. Once he's done, he'll come back. How could he possibly forget you?"
"Exactly, Sister," Marigold quickly chimed in. "Rei Ao-sama likes you so much—there's no way he'd mess around out there."
"Really?"
Hancock blinked her beautiful eyes, still looking wronged.
"But he's been gone a whole day… I-I'm almost forgetting what he looks like."
The instant her words ended, the air in the center of the hall suddenly warped violently.
Hancock's eyes lit up at once.
She sprang to her feet, and the grievance on her face vanished without a trace—
replaced by pure surprise and anticipation.
In the next second, four figures appeared out of thin air in the middle of the hall.
Rei Ao—along with Yamato, Black Maria, and Kozuki Hiyori.
The moment the weightlessness faded, Hiyori's legs gave out and she dropped straight to the floor.
She gulped air in huge breaths, her face pale.
That spatial jump just now had nearly scared her soul clean out of her body.
Black Maria stumbled too—her eight-meter-tall frame nearly slammed into a coiled dragon pillar beside her.
She quickly steadied herself, scowling as she looked around.
Only Yamato stood firmly in place, scratching her head.
Taking in the carved beams and painted rafters of the palace, she couldn't help whistling:
"Whoa. So this is the palace of the Women's Kingdom? It's even more gorgeous than I imagined."
And the moment Rei Ao had steadied himself, a soft figure threw herself into his arms.
"Rei Ao-sama!"
Hancock practically launched into his embrace, wrapping both arms tightly around his waist.
She buried her face against his chest and nuzzled, her voice sweet to the point of cloying, brimming with grievance and yearning:
"You're finally back! I missed you so much! If you didn't come back soon, I was going to take the Kuja Pirates to find you!"
She wore a bright red, high-slit cheongsam that outlined a body perfect to the extreme.
A lovely fragrance clung to her, and now she curled up in Rei Ao's arms like a clingy little cat.
There wasn't the slightest trace of the Pirate Empress's cold pride and dominance—she looked completely like a woman missing the man she loved.
Rei Ao smiled as he hugged her back, reaching up to揉 her jet-black hair.
He lowered his head, kissed her on the forehead, and spoke gently:
"Alright, I'm back, aren't I? Miss me?"
"I did! Of course I did!"
Hancock lifted her head. Her beautiful eyes sparkled like they were filled with stars.
"I spent the whole day thinking about you, Rei Ao-sama. I even dreamed about you!"
Off to the side, Sandersonia and Marigold looked at each other helplessly and shook their heads.
Every time Rei Ao returned, their sister turned into this.
All the Empress's dignity—gone.
Just then, Hancock finally noticed the three women behind him.
The smile on her face froze instantly, and her arms around Rei Ao loosened.
She raised her head and stared at those unfamiliar faces—
especially the tall, voluptuous Black Maria, and the poised Kozuki Hiyori.
Her lips puckered again in an instant. A sheen of tears rose in her eyes—full of grievance and jealousy.
Hancock stepped out of Rei Ao's arms, crossed her arms over her chest, and pouted at him.
Her voice was muffled, drenched in sourness:
"Rei Ao-sama… y-you… you brought women back again. I-I really will get jealous…"
The man she liked—every time he went out, he brought other women back.
No matter how much she loved Rei Ao, she'd still get jealous… damn it.
